1. Who we are

The Right Size is a clothing-size recommendation service. The business responsible for personal data is [Business name], at [address].

For privacy questions, email support@therightsizeapp.com or visit our Support page.

2. Information we process

This policy covers The Right Size website and mobile app, including the Size Assistant, Size Chart, Reverse Lookup, AI Fit Advisor, Visualise, Style, accounts, purchases, demo form, and support contact.

During a sizing session, you may enter body measurements, department, garment category, preferred units, garment descriptions, and fit preferences. Account details may include a name and work email where those fields are provided. You may also provide information when contacting support. Payment records may include purchase status and a provider reference, but not card details.

3. Sizing sessions and customer information

By default, customer names and measurements entered in the sizing tools are not stored on our servers or on the device. They are held only temporarily while the current screen is in use so the app can calculate a recommendation. Starting a new sizing clears the entered measurements. When you are signed in, each sizing result is saved automatically as a private client record (see “Saved items, client records and sharing” below). Signed out, nothing is saved.

The app does not provide saved shopper profiles. A previous version stored profiles in browser storage; the current version deletes that legacy profile data when the app loads.

Manual entry in the Size Assistant, Size Chart, and Reverse Lookup does not send customer names or measurements to our servers.

Estimate from photo — body measurements

The optional “Estimate from photo” tool in the measurements form processes body-image data. Before adding a photo, you must confirm: “I have this person's permission to use their photo to estimate measurements.” Only upload photos you have permission to use; ideally obscure the face without removing the body outline or height reference, and avoid names or identifying details.

A required front photo, optional side photo, the measured height and the measurement types needed by the selected garment are sent once through our server and the Lovable AI Gateway to OpenAI to estimate measurement ranges. No names are requested or sent. The request uses storage disabled. Photos are reduced in size on your device before sending.

Photos and estimated measurements are held in temporary page memory and never saved in browser storage. When you are signed in and have confirmed in Account that “I confirm my clients have agreed to their photos and measurements being stored.”, the photos are saved automatically with the client record (see below). Otherwise they are never saved in a database or file storage, and are cleared when you cancel, reset, go back or leave the measurement step. Withdrawing the checkbox before analysis removes the photos; Stop cancels an ongoing request but cannot recall data already sent. Results are approximate, may be inaccurate and do not replace a tape measure. Photo content is treated as data, not instructions.

Saved items, client records and sharing

What is saved automatically. When you are signed in, we automatically save: every finished Visualise sketch with its description, colour and fabric; every Style drawing and outfit picture with its look title, direction, occasion, rationale and pieces (lookbooks are grouped together); the photos you upload in Style (garment, shoes, bag, outerwear, jewellery and similar), stored with the looks they produced; and every sizing result as a client record — the client reference you type (or an automatic date label), date, estimated measurement ranges, final measurement values, height, unit, garment category, recommended size and notes. You can rename items and add notes. Your account email and password (stored securely by our account provider) are kept to operate your account. When you are signed out, nothing is saved.

Client photos — after a one-time confirmation. In Account, or when first asked at a client save, the signed-in user can confirm: “I confirm my clients have agreed to their photos and measurements being stored.” Once confirmed (we record the time), the front and (if added) side photos used for Estimate from photo are saved automatically with the client record. Without that confirmation, only the measurements and details are saved. The confirmation can be withdrawn in Account at any time; this stops new photos being saved but does not delete existing ones.

What is never saved. Quick Estimate photos are never saved. Nothing is saved while you are signed out. We never store anything in browser storage.

Where and who can see it. Saved images and photos are kept in private file storage (never public) and records in our database, both provided through Lovable Cloud. Access rules ensure only the signed-in account that saved an item, photo or client record can see, edit or delete it. Saved items are kept until you delete them or your account.

Private links. If you create a private link for a saved image, anyone with that link can view only that generated image, its title and pieces without an account — never your uploaded Style photos, client photos, notes, client records or account details. Links expire after 7 days, 30 days or never, as you choose (default 30 days), and you can revoke them at any time. Shared pages ask search engines not to index them. Download and your phone’s share sheet send the image wherever you choose, outside our control.

Deleting. Delete a look or a client record from its page at any time; it is removed permanently with its image, links and any stored client photos; Style photos are removed once no other saved look from the same session remains. Individual Style photos and client photos can also be deleted one by one from the saved look or client record. Deleting your account (Account → Delete account) permanently removes all saved images, looks, Style photos, private links, client records, client photos, settings and the account itself. A client can ask the sales associate or store that saved their details to delete their record or photo at any time, or contact us at support@therightsizeapp.com and we will pass the request on or help with deletion. Only enter client details you are permitted to keep, and get the client’s agreement where required.

4. Accounts

Store account details, such as a name and work email where provided, are used only to create and manage the account, authenticate access, provide the service, show purchase status, and respond to service-related requests. Account information is not used for advertising.

5. AI Fit Advisor

When you select “Get Fit Advice”, only the garment description, measurements, and fit preference you entered are sent as text through our server to our AI provider to generate the requested recommendation and fit explanation.

  • Purpose: to provide the AI-assisted sizing guidance you request.
  • No customer names or photos are requested, accepted, or sent by this feature.
  • The app instructs the AI provider not to store the request or response.
  • The Right Size does not store the AI input or output on the device or in its database.
  • Do not put names, email addresses, contact details, or other identifying information into the text fields.
  • The answer is generated automatically, may be inaccurate, and is guidance only. Fit varies by brand and cut.

Quick Estimate (photo). With the customer's consent, a photo and the entered height are sent through our server to our AI provider only to produce an approximate size estimate.

  • The photo is used once for the estimate and is not stored — not in our database, file storage, or browser storage.
  • The app instructs the AI provider not to store the request or response.
  • The photo is discarded from the app immediately after the result is shown. No names are sent.

Visualise — garment sketches

Visualise sends your garment description, selected colour and fabric through our server to the AI provider to generate a fashion illustration. When you refine the colour or fabric of an existing sketch, that sketch is also sent as an image reference to preserve the design.

When you are signed in, each finished sketch is saved automatically with its description, colour and fabric (see “Saved items” above). Signed out, descriptions, selections and sketches are held only temporarily in the current page. They are never saved in browser storage. New sketch or leaving the page clears the page, except when you choose “Style this garment”: the garment description, colour and fabric are passed once to Style in temporary memory. Do not enter client names, contact details or identifying information. No client photo is requested by this feature.

Style — complete outfits

Style sends the main garment description (if entered), occasion, second-garment preference and any photos you add through our server to the AI provider to suggest five coordinating outfit looks. Text requests use storage disabled. If you choose “Illustrate the look” or “Create outfit picture”, the garment brief, any photos and that look’s selected, edited pieces are sent to generate a fashion drawing or realistic outfit picture. Outfit pictures use the same ordered photo-reference editing process as drawings, with an anonymous generic model rather than reproducing a person, face or background from your photos.

When photos are added, a realistic outfit picture is created automatically for each of the five looks. When you are signed in, every finished drawing and outfit picture is saved automatically with its look details; signed out, everything stays in temporary memory only and is cleared by New look or leaving Style. Nothing is saved in browser storage. No client names, contact details or measurements are needed. Do not include identifying information in garment or outfit descriptions.

Photo uploads in Style are optional. You may photograph the main garment and pieces to include (such as shoes, a bag, a jacket or jewellery). Photos are reduced in size on your device and sent through our server to the AI provider to analyse the garments and generate drawings or outfit pictures. When you are signed in, these photos are also saved privately with the looks they produced and shown as thumbnails on the saved look, where you can delete them; signed out, they are held only in page memory and cleared on New look or leaving the page. Please do not upload photos showing a client’s face or any identifying details.

6. Payments, demo form, and contact

When payments are enabled, they will be handled by our payment provider. We receive only the information needed to confirm and manage a purchase, such as payment status and a transaction reference. We never receive or see full card details.

The demo form asks for a name, company, job title, work email, retailer or brand, and a message. In the current version, submitting it only changes what appears on screen. The form contents are not transmitted to us or stored by the app.

If you contact us, your email address, message, attachments, and related delivery information are processed by your email provider and ours so we can receive and answer the enquiry.

7. Analytics, advertising, tracking, and technical data

The app code does not include advertising or first-party product analytics, and it does not set advertising cookies. It does not use browser storage for customer names or measurements.

When you use an online service, the receiving hosting and network services necessarily process standard connection information such as IP address, browser or device details, requested page, and request time to deliver and secure the service. Server errors may be written to hosting logs. In the Lovable editor preview only, error details and the current page path may be sent to Lovable's diagnostic tools. The app does not include a separate customer-facing crash-reporting service.

The app loads Cormorant Garamond and Jost from Google Fonts. A request is therefore made to Google when those fonts load, and Google receives standard connection information such as the requesting IP address and browser details.

8. Purposes and lawful bases

Where UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies, we rely on the following bases as appropriate:

  • Requested service or steps before a contract: providing requested sizing or AI guidance and responding to support or demo enquiries.
  • Legitimate interests: operating, securing, troubleshooting, and improving the reliability of the service, balanced against the rights of users and shoppers.
  • Legal obligation: keeping or disclosing information when applicable law requires it.

Retail staff and retailers are responsible for having an appropriate basis to enter another person's measurements for a requested sizing session.

9. Third-party processors and recipients

  • Lovable — app hosting, server functions, editor-preview diagnostics, and the AI Gateway.
  • OpenAI — the model provider used to generate AI Fit Advisor answers, Quick Estimate photo estimates, photo-based body measurement estimates, Visualise fashion sketches and Style outfit suggestions, drawings and realistic outfit pictures through the Lovable AI Gateway.
  • Google Fonts — delivery of the app's fonts.
  • Account provider — authentication and account operation.
  • Payment provider — payment processing when purchases are enabled; card details remain with that provider.
  • Email provider — handling messages sent to the support address.
  • Apple or Google — app-store distribution and related store services under their own privacy terms when the mobile app is downloaded through their stores.

We do not sell personal information. No advertising-data sharing was found in the current app implementation.

10. International transfers

Some service providers may process information outside the UK or European Economic Area. Where required, the business will use appropriate safeguards such as adequacy regulations or approved contractual clauses.

11. Retention

  • Customer names and standard sizing entries: not stored on our servers or the device.
  • AI inputs and answers: not stored by The Right Size; the AI request instructs the provider not to store them.
  • Saved looks, private links and client records: kept until you delete them or your account.
  • Account and purchase records: kept while needed to operate the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain purchase access.
  • Demo form: not transmitted or stored in the current version.
  • Support emails and technical logs: kept only as long as reasonably needed for support, security, and legal obligations.

12. Security

Online traffic is sent over HTTPS and AI credentials stay on the server. Customer names and measurements are not stored in the app. No system is completely secure. Do not send customer names or identifying information in support emails or AI prompts.

13. Your rights and deletion requests

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict, or object to processing, and to data portability. You may also complain to the relevant data protection authority. The appropriate UK or EU supervisory authority is pending confirmation based on the legal operator's establishment.

To exercise these rights for account, purchase, or contact information, email support@therightsizeapp.com. We may need enough information to verify and respond to a request, but you should not email shopper measurements.

14. Children

The app is intended for retail staff and adult users and is not directed to children. The standard sizing tools include children's clothing reference sizes, but a responsible adult should enter those measurements. Do not enter a child's name or submit identifying information about a child to the AI Fit Advisor or support email.

15. External services and links

The app links to external services such as your email app (for support emails), our website, and app stores. Those services are operated under their own privacy terms, and we are not responsible for their practices.

16. Policy updates

We will update this page if the app's data practices change and revise the date above.
